Frozen Cucumber Slices
Yeild -- 7 -8 cups
An abundance of cucumbers in your garden this year?
Try our quick and easy frozen cucumbers!
Our family loves them and so will yours!!
  • 7 cups of thinly sliced cucumbers
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cups cider vinegar (dark)
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp celery seeds
  • Boil 2 cups sugar and 1 cup cider vinegar.

    Stir well before putting on stove, then bring to a boil for two minutes. Pour over sliced cucs and onions. Add cerery seed and stir well.  Refrigerate for 2 days, stirring occasionally.
    Pack in containers (I use the small margarine containers).
    Be sure to pour juice over the top of cucs to prevent freezer burn.  Freeze and when you are ready for a treat with your meal take out a tub of these delicious cucumbers to add to the table!! Of course, you must thaw first! :)
