Pine Hollow

Pumpkin Pie
8 servings -- 1 Pie

        • 3/4 cup sugar
        • 1 heaping tbsp all-purpose flour
        • pinch of ginger
        • 2 eggs
        • sprinkle of nutmeg

        •  Combine in bowl and mix by hand
          Then add:
        • 2 cups of pumpkin (I use fresh orange squash)
        • 1 small can condensed cream
--->Combine in bowl; sugar, flour, ginger, eggs, & nutmeg
Mix well by hand, then add
        pumpkin and cream.
And mix well by hand once again.
Pour mixture into pie shell and sprinkle cinnamon on top.
In 400f preheated oven, bake 15 minutes
reduce temperature to 350f and bake 45 minutes longer.
        When using an electric oven,
        I start at 350f for 15 minutes
then 325f for the remaining 45.
Test to see if it's completely baked:
if not, time in 5 minute intervals, continue to test.
When knife inserted into center of pie comes out clean, it's done.
