4-cups sliced, peeled
apples
1-cup sifted flour
1-cup sugar
1-teaspoon baking powder
3/4-teaspoon salt
1-teaspoon cinnamon (opt.)
1/2-teaspoon nutmeg (opt.)
1-egg
1/3-cup melted butter
1/2-cup chopped pecans (opt.)
Line buttered 8x8x2 inch
baking dish with apple slices. Sift dry ingredients together; work in egg
with
pastry blender until consistency
of coarse meal. Sprinkle over apple slices. Drizzle melted butter over
top.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
Bake 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
